NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

TTA was appointed to design and specify the operations control room in the new Facilities Management Building at Stellenbosch University. This involved planning the layout of the control room which will house both the CCTV monitors for the 140 camera surveillance system around the University’s campus and the building maintenance and alarm monitoring systems.

TTA wrote the specification for the equipment required to refit the control room including the two way radios and CCTV monitoring consoles. TTA assisted with the tender evaluation process and will contract manage the entire installation which will take place once the Facilities Building is finished.


DESCRIPTION OF ACTUAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE FIRM:

Transport Telematics Africa was appointed to compile the specification and bill of quantities for the project, assisted with the evaluation of the tenders received and project managed the installation of the control room equipment.
